Day 1 | From NYC to You With Love
Over the years I’ve realized that sometimes you just need to take a moment to step away from your everyday routine, all the stress that comes with it, and plain ol’ reboot. Kind of like a computer that’s been on and off of sleep mode for about two months, but actually never just turned off. (Please OH PLEASE, tell me I am not the only one with this really bad habit?)
Well, that’s what I hope to do over the next few days. Step back, unwind, and reinvigorate my senses and appreciation for life. Because really, everyone needs a moment to recharge their battery. Even for just a little bit.
It just so happens that my kiddo is starting her Spring Break holiday, so Tommy and I thought it was the perfect time to take a family trip out of town to … re-energize, relax a little and consume caloric delights without thinking twice. Emphasis on the latter reason 😉
That said, we’ll be in New York City until next week, taking in all the sights and sounds, eating way more pizza than my belly can handle and exploring every nook and cranny this wonderful city has to offer. We’ll also be shooting a couple sessions in and around the city to capture special moments between families, couples and individuals and we cannot wait! My camera will be working in overdrive I’m sure 😀
So stay tuned for a little slice of the Big Apple via me *holla*. And if there’s any spot, site or restaurant you suggest we visit, please feel free to share in the comment section!
And just so you know, it took us exactly two hours to breathe in this New York City air before I had my first slice of pizza. Yep, we landed at about midnight’ish and at 2:30 a.m. we took a stroll down to a local pizzeria that’s open till 4 a.m. — NYC you so have it right leaving pizza places open till 4 a.m. — And ahhhhh yes, my quest to overload on pizza over the next week has begun. Gotta say, a slice of spinach and artichoke pizza at 2:30 a.m. is exactly what I envisioned for the start of this little Spring Break adventure!
From NYC to You With Love,
And because a blog entry is nothing without pictures, here’s a few images from Day One . . .
Sometimes I drive my family crazy with random camera pics. As evidenced here on the plane 😉
Outside of hotel Stuy Town aka my cousin’s crib = the perfect spot for our NYC vacation. Thanks OJ!!!
Our walk down 14th Street during our 2:30 a.m. pizza run.
And after we killed our slices, it was time for bed and onward to Day 2!!!
