Tommy and I were together for a long time before we got married — a decade to be exact. You see, we said our “I Dos” on the 10th anniversary of our first date after being engaged for three years. I guess you could say, we are true believers that good things come to those who wait 🙂 So when I first chatted with Betsaida and found out that she and her fiancé Jason had been together for 10 years and engaged for three, we chuckled over our similarities. Oh and top it off, she and Jason are both USC graduates (like me) ~ be still my heart!

Over the past five years of being a wedding photographer, I’ve come to learn that not every person who contacts me is meant to be my client. (Can you imagine how crazy busy I would be if they were? 😀 LOL) But the people who we get the wonderful chance to work with are truly meant to be there. I am so incredibly grateful to work with such incredible people — those who celebrate love, enjoy the adventures of life, and relish in the light of laughter and joy. People who are meant to be together … like Betsaida + Jason …

THE LOCATION: VENICE CANALS AND VENICE BEACH

This beautiful couple wanted a setting that offered a lot variety for their engagement photos so they chose the romance of the Venice Canals and the colorful corners of Venice Beach — “this is totally us,” Betsaida told us. Romantic + fun — a mixture of the best of both worlds.
