The J-Claire Workshop | Coto de Caza Couple’s Session
With the start of 2011 I made many promises to myself … eat better (still workin on that), exercise more (have yet to work on that), get more sleep (hmmm … it’s now 3:26 a.m. so obviously I need work on that, LOL), and become a better photographer. Well I can proudly say, that I’ve been working hard on the last of those promises ๐
Part of being a better photographer is the willingness to learn and soak in all the knowledge you can from other successful photographers in the business. And in January, I had the pleasure of learning from one of the very best in the wedding industry ~ the one and only Jessica Claire.
Aside from creating the oh so wonderful Shootsac — a phototgrapher’s must-have shooting bag — Jessica produces some of the most deliciously beautiful wedding images. And thanks to my good friend and fellow colleague Shanda Hudson, I was able to take part in Jessica’s most recent workshop.
It was a day spent learning about her approach to photography, shooting style and her post-processing format. I learned so much that day and also met some pretty fabulous photographers from all over the world, including a pair who flew in all the way from Europe. But one of the best parts of the day was actually going out to shoot a couple’s session at Riley Wilderness Park with a beautiful twosome.
Here are some images from that couple’s session. Let’s just say, finding an angle amongst at least 15 other great photographer can be quite difficult, but it’s a challenge that I always welcome … especially when the couple looks as good as this ๐
On a side note, I honestly can’t wait to go back to this beautiful spot to do another session, it really is picture perfect!
Gorgeous!! This girls skin is flawless! So jealous! PS love the new blog look!
@Jac, thanks love!! And yep, she’s got that perfect porcelain skin ~ it’s photographer dreamy skin ๐
