Being born and raised in Southern California, I find myself often taking for granted our perfect year-round weather and picturesque beach lifestyle. But when couples opt to have their holiday portraits done at the beach during the middle of winter, it’s a great reminder just how lucky we are to live in sunny SoCal! So when Caitlin + J.B., who were visiting from chilly New Hampshire last winter, decided on downtown Laguna Beach as the spot for their portraits, we happily obliged and spent a glorious afternoon at this beautiful beach town 🙂

THE LOCATION: DOWNTOWN LAGUNA BEACH AND HEISLER PARK

Downtown Laguna Beach is such a cool little seaside space filled with lots of cute shops, cool architecture and plenty of textured walls — which I absolutely love. And of course, when you’re that close to the beach, who can deny taking photos on the beach during sunset? Laguna Beach offers both small town charm and the most amazing beach landscape right off the cliffside at Heisler Park.
