Through the years, I’ve come to realize that love is meant to be an adventure that two people share and we try to implement this sense of journey and discovery with our couples in each of our sessions. So when Erin + Jason asked if we could do their engagement session on a sailboat, I knew this adventure would be unlike any other … 

As fate would have it, Erin + Jason met about four years ago at a friend’s wedding — isn’t love amazing? And since that encounter, their paths became intertwined with fun times, lots of dinner date and plenty of adventures.

THE LOCATION: THE DANA POINT HARBOR

These two are avid sailors and spend many a days enjoying the water under the warm California sun, so it was only appropriate to celebrate their love on a sailboat. To keep their session as intimate as possible, we met with them before sunrise at the Dana Point Harbor to catch the beautiful morning light and hopped aboard their family friend’s gorgeous boat called “Maxwell.” Although we don’t do many sunrise sessions, every time we do, the calm serenity of the morning light always soothes the spirit and soul.
