From the moment I began planning my wedding about four years ago, I became smitten with looking at wedding photography blogs. Actually obsessive is probably the more accurate term. So I guess it was only a natural progression for me to one day become a wedding photographer. I was instantly bit by the photography bug, but admittedly when I picked up a camera for the first time in 2010, I had no clue what I was doing. I was just a girl with aspirations and a heart that sought to capture all the beauty in front of me.

Fast forward to today, it’s now been a little more than a year that Tommy and I began shooting weddings, and in the beginning, it was hard to imagine how we would ever find couples who were willing to take a risk on our young business. But somehow, some way, the inquiries came and I remember the delight in my heart in receiving every single one of them. Especially one that came from Brandi + Anthony because I read it while I was out shopping with my mom and darn near squealed out loud when I got the email. After some communication, this wonderful couple asked us to be a part of their Wedding Day and … when we found out they were exchanging vows on a boat, we were even more thrilled …

This summer we had the wonderful opportunity of shooting this beautiful couple’s Wedding Day. It was a celebration in the Newport Harbor on the fabulous yacht they call Destiny. And It.Was.Amazing!!! This was probably one of the warmest days of the summer, but it also made for the most perfect blue skies that kissed their day with absolute perfection. Love, laughter and good times aboard a fabulous yacht — that would not stop moving from the non-stop dancing. Oh yeah, this was a celebration to remember by all. Here’s a few images from this incredible wedding on the water, our first on a boat, but hopefully not our last …

Meet Little Anthony, Brandi + Anthony’s adorable son . One of the most precious moments of this wedding was when Anthony walked his mom down the aisle — and of course told the Pastor he was the one with the honor of giving her away 🙂 

 

Brandi + Anthony were high school sweethearts and the stories told during the speeches were both touching and funny = the exact combination of feelings to make for wonderful images.

It never fails, we always get the liveliest wedding parties 😀

Brandi’s mom surprised the newlyweds with a romantic gondola ride around the Newport Harbor to cap off this wonderful evening … truly a fitting way to end such a beautiful celebration …

Brandi + Anthony thank you once again for giving us the opportunity to capture this special day in your lives. The trust you gave us when we were just starting out is something we will always be grateful for. We hope these images remind you of the love you share with each other, for your handsome little guy, and of course for the loved ones and friends who complete your circle.
