Bahamas Bliss | We’re Away Till Feb. 22 … In Paradise

The past few days have been a beautiful and crazy blur as Tommy and I left home on Tuesday night for our first destination wedding of 2012 in Nassau, Bahamas. It’s our first time here and to say we are mesmerized by the beauty of this wonderful island is such an understatement. From the gorgeous pristine waters to the cozy small town feel of it all, we are completely in LOVE with this slice of paradise …

Everyone has been so incredibly kind and friendly to us and OMG we have eaten nothing but ridiculously good food. Bahamian cuisine revolves around seafood and holy cow. It. is. AWESOME … by the way, it doesn’t get any fresher than this — here’s one of the locals slicing up fresh conch straight from the sea ๐Ÿ˜€ P.S., no the sea stars are not eaten, but they are sold to tourists as souveniers!

And did I tell you how absolutely gorgeous our couple Simone + Dorian are? Here’s a quick snapshot we took of them during their informal get-together at the Big Ten Fish Fry at Arawak Cay. It was our first time meeting them in person and yep, our beautiful couples’ streak continues … clearly ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s a few more photos of our island adventures, the wedding festivities don’t truly begin until Friday evening so hopefully I’ll have some time to check-in before we leave …

This is what happens when your basketball player of a husband comes across a random basketball court at the hotel — yes, he started shooting hoops with his camera in one hand. And by the way, he went 5 of 7. Not bad for shooting with just one hand LOL ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Filipino girl in my blood got the best of me! We came across a little bar on Junkanoo beach and I got to pick my own coconut and after I drank all the juice, they carved it up for me to eat. So delish!!! P.S., excuse the appearance, vacation time means no makeup LOL.

Tommy on the other hand, always makes it a point to try the local beer!

Yep, I took this while laying in a hammock ๐Ÿ˜€ It was hard work … well no, not really but I was afraid I was gonna fall out hahaha.

More to come soon!!! xoxo …
