I’m sure she doesn’t know it, but I’ve admired her love affair with her husband from afar. Her sweet Facebook statuses about missing him while he’s hard at work as a firefighter, and his loving replies that he misses her right back. Yes I smile when I see their sweet exchanges because I’m a sucker for love, which is why I probably love shooting weddings so much 😉 And though they’ve been married for more than six years now, these two still share a passion for each other that is as fresh as if they met yesterday … but today their love also encircles their two little girls and together they make a beautiful family …

I’ve said before that one of the most wonderful aspects of my photography adventure has been the opportunity to reunite with friends from the past … friends I haven’t seen in ages … friends I’ve always wondered about and now through my business I’ve been able to cross paths with them once again, and it’s a pretty wonderful thing 😉

Jamie was one of those friends from my days of way too dark eyeliner and way too much hairspray, LOL. She was my teammate on JV and Varsity Cheer, and together, we experienced some of the most carefree fun days of high school. Years later, we’ve managed to connect again but this time we’re both a little older (but still lookin good *woot woot*), we both have kids (OMG her daughters are way too pretty!!!) and of course we’re all a whole lot wiser and happier (thank you wonderful husbands!!!)

After some careful planning, Tommy and I met up with Jamie, her hubby Andy and their gorgeous kiddos Katie + Andie along with their Aunt Reicy at my fav spot in San Juan Capistrano for some family portraits. From the moment Jamie and I started planning their session, I knew she would have fabulous outfits for the girls but when I first spotted them dressed in their adorable Kait Emerson dresses, I felt a flurry of butterflies inside … these two girls are simply way too cute for their own good!

These pair of darlings had a great time venturing throughout the SJC grounds and yes, little Andie even picked up an admirer along the way 😀

But I’m sure Mom + Dad know this is just the beginning of a laundry list of admirers because frankly these two girls will probably be leading the next generation of supermodels!!! They are *GORGEOUS*

The butterflies inside made an appearance twice that day — the second time doing somersaults and flips — when Katie + Andie took an intermission and changed into more adorableness … tutus, knit beanies and cowgirl boots, OMG …

Jamie + Andy many thanks to you both for making the trek to SJC and sharing your afternoon with us. We had so much fun with all of you! I know at times you thought the girls were being a handful, but honestly, they were just being kids and as photographers that’s exactly what we hope for … we love being around families that are just being themselves 😉

We hope that when you look back at these images you’ll always remember the days when your girls looked up at you with smiles that could light up the darkest night.

And recall sweet kisses that always made your day better …

And that you’ll chuckle when you remember their antsy glares that were somehow only tempered by an impromptu “tearing of the leaves” hahhahah 😉

And while we hope these photographs remind you of precious moments with your kids when they were little, I also want these images to help you cherish the love you share as a couple because really I’m a fan of your love 😉 And quite honestly, 40 years from now, I hope to still be reading facebook updates of how much you love and miss each other …
