It has been an exceptionally cold winter in Southern California this year. And while I know many of you East Coasters are probably saying “psssshhhhhh whateva” and rolling your eyes at this sentence, for me, the So Cal girl who has 100+ pairs of flip flops, it has been so cold my flip flops have been sadly confined to indoor wearing. With socks. Oh yeah, thick white socks. Now that is not only a horrible fashion faux paux, that is a disgrace to the glory of flip flops, LOL.

Anyhoo, despite the unusually cold weather, one of our family clients wanted nothing more than to have their holiday photos taken at the beach. Being from the islands, the Ragbirs and Browns wanted photos that reflected their island roots with the sand in their toes and the sun setting on the shore … so with my Uggs on, a scarf around my neck, a sweater, a jacket, leggings and gloves … Tommy and I hit the beach!!! (And YES, I looked ridiculous but for my clients wishes, I am always willing to sacrifice fashion cuteness, LOL)

Here are a few images from this fun-filled afternoon in Redondo Beach, where Tommy and I and the incredible Brown and Ragbir families smiled and laughed to our hearts content under the cold California sunset. And really, it couldn’t have been anymore fabulous!
