THE LOCATION: SOUTH COAST BOTANIC GARDEN

This beautiful pair are budding business owners in each of their respective fields. After many years as a flight attendant, Akiko is transitioning into focusing on her work as a hypnotherapist, and Ken owns his own dojo studio. So when they reached out to me wanting to do a couple’s session, they immediately knew they wanted the shoot to take place in a serene and beautiful environment that emanated a sense of peace and tranquility. With that in mind, we decided to do their session at the South Coast Botanic Garden — an exquisitely lush and massive garden in the coastal community of Palos Verdes, CA.

I absolutely love shooting in new places that we’ve never visited before, because it spurs our creative juices in terms of looking for beautiful light and incredible spaces. And after this session, I would love to go back because pretty much every spot was breathtaking. We could have honestly photographed these two here. Forever. 🙂
