If you know me, you know I’ve had a lifelong love affair with storytelling. I love being a journalist, using the power of the written word. I love being a news reporter using video and my voice. And I absolutely love being a photographer, using the beauty of visual imagery to create footprints of life’s moments. My passion is in storytelling. But to know me, is to also know that my journalistic nature often gets the best of me — I am curious, I am feisty, I am inquisitive, I am adventurous, I am always looking to learn and know something new … better than anyone else 😉 And a few months ago, Tommy and I had the pleasure of documenting the Wedding Day of Jessica + Peter — two fellow journalists who are just as daring, curious and relentless as I am. And … I love it!

Peter is an incredibly talented TV news producer in the Palm Desert area and Jessica and I both work for the AOL company Patch.com as Local Editors. So in essence, Jessica and I both share equally crazy lives that revolve around 24-hour breaking news cycles and because of the madness of our jobs, we often joke how little sleep we get. And, how we have to drag our husbands with us to cover stories just to spend time with them 😀 It is a crazy life that only a few can live, so to have spent a day with this amazingly talented woman outside of our “news worlds” was a gift that made me realize that she’s not only a brilliant journalist, she’s also a wonderful person who is loved by so many … oh and she happens to be gorgeous!!!

Here’s a look back at Jessica + Peter’s beautiful Wedding Day that started with a touching ceremony at the Zion Lutheran Church in Anaheim and wrapped up with a festive celebration at the Spring Field Banquet Hall in Fullerton …

And YES, they did a first look! These photos are always filled with such raw joy and energy, and again, they never disappoint 😉

And yes, we had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful pair with a ridiculously cool vintage Rolls Royce! We seriously could have shot with them in this fancy set of wheels … All.Day.Long. But then they’d have to miss their own party 😉

This next image gives me happy goosebumps every time I see it. This is what love looks like … silent, beautiful and serene … love without words.

Jessica + Peter thank you a million times over allowing us to be your photographers. I gotta admit, because of Peter’s background in TV news, I was sorta intimidated at first because I knew he was savvy with video, lighting and angles and most of all because he knows what good photography is supposed to look like. 🙂 OK … I’m not gonna even lie, I WAS SCARED! But knowing that you both completely trusted us with one of the most important days in your lives put me at ease — that on top of the fact that you both instantly welcomed us with your sweet kindness. Thank you so much for sharing this special day in your lives with us ~ we wish you both the best that life has to offer … and then some! *hugs*
