Downtown L.A. Arts District Engagement Photos | Los Angeles, CA Photographer | Chris and Nancy
“My fiance and I came across your photography by sheer luck. We absolutely love your work, I feel like it really fits us.”
It is how she started her email to me and it immediately brought a smile to my face. I often wonder if my blog posts and photos are ever seen in the myriad of endless that is known as the internet, but when I read emails like this it gives me reassurance that … Yes, they are seen — by the people who are meant to see them and nothing makes me happier 😉
We met Chris and Nancy for the first time during a Skype video chat and could see instantly that they shared a special bond with each other, looking fondly at one another as they asked us questions and excitedly sharing details of their wedding day. And when we met them in person during their engagement session at the Downtown L.A. Arts District a few months ago, we again recognized that genuine love they have for one another as they stood side by side.
Downtown Los Angeles is one of our favorite spots for engagement sessions because there are so many unique and colorful spaces throughout the city. So when Nancy + Chris mentioned that a colorful urban landscape really spoke to them as a couple, we knew the Downtown L.A. Arts District was the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos.
So we began our session in front of the stunning reflection in front of the LAPD headquarters building, moved into the heart of the Arts District and finished things up with a gorgeous sunset on the 4th street bridge. Here are some of our favorite images from their session in Downtown L.A. …
We love to ask our couples to dance, it always brings the most beautiful smiles and lots of laughter …
They are so perfect together 🙂
It’s not easy to find flowers in sprawled in a city like L.A., but when you do, it’s like a little piece of sunshine and also the perfect backdrop for a beautiful twosome.I love the pure joy in this photo. I seriously cannot wait until their Wedding Day!!!
