The wedding planning process can be roller coaster ride with lots of ups and downs with a little bit of craziness mixed in between 🙂 But imagine getting engaged, graduating from law school, practicing for the state bar exam, passing it, landing your first job and helping your soon-to-be wife move across the country to start your new lives together — all within months of each other leading up to your Wedding Day. PHEW! I am just tired writing it all down LOL.

It takes a super couple like Felisa and Greg to manage through such pressure and stress, but with lots of patience, faith and love it is possible and now there is no doubt, together they can do anything as long as they have each other …

One weekend last Spring, Greg flew into California by way of North Carolina to help his sweetheart Felisa with their wedding planning and also attend their wedding shower. With him living on the opposite coast and their busy schedules already so packed, we decided to shoot their engagement photos right after their shower and just a few hours before he was planning to hop on a plane back to North Carolina. Though our time was limited, we truly lucked out finding the most beautiful nature trail at Murphy Ranch Park just down the street from their celebration.

THE LOCATION: MURPHY RANCH PARK

Murphy Ranch Park, a hidden gem in the city of Whittier, is lined with large beautiful trees and foliage, gorgeous light, wide open trails and if you’re lucky — a pen full of goats. Yes goats (scroll down to see photos)!!! It was truly the perfect setting for a fun-filled engagement session for this lovely pair.

Imagine how bewildered and giddy we were when we happened upon this pen full of wild goats — I’d like to think it’s a sign of good luck and fortune for this awesome couple 😉Although it was a really warm day, the light streaming through the trees at Murphy Ranch Park was like magic and it framed their joy so beautifully …

Because their time was so limited living on opposite coasts, it was nice to see this sweet pair relax and simply enjoy being together — engagement sessions are all about capturing the love and connection that two people share (and of course lots of laughter and good times from start to finish!)

Quiet beautiful moments like this always take my breath away — they are so incredible together …

An engagement session with us means we may ask you to dance out in the middle of nowhere 🙂 But I promise, you will have fun and love it!!!
