The strange thing about wedding photography is that it’s sort of an addiction, in that once you’ve shot a wedding, you immediately crave your next opportunity to shoot. Perhaps it’s the delicious beauty of it all — the flowers, the fancy clothes, the lovely hues of colors, the music, the heartfelt laughter, the incredible venues, the always awesome dancing, oh and lest I forget the most important element of the day … the love that beams from the beautiful couple. Oh wait, and how can I forget the cake? Aaahhh yes, the cake 😉 Being able to capture such a special day is simply something that Tommy and I revel in because frankly it’s all so intoxicating and truly a blessing to be around.
While Tommy and I have been knee deep in engagement sessions this year, it’s been a few months since we’ve shot a wedding together. But we finally got our “fix” when we documented Marylou + Alain’s Wedding celebration a few weeks ago. And really, it was the perfect way to get back into “the zone.” This wonderful couple’s Wedding Day provided us with the perfect dose of smiles, laughter, and blissful happiness — all the elements needed to remind us exactly why we love shooting weddings so much.
It’s been a long time coming for Marylou + Alain, but based on the infinite displays of love and joy that was shared that day, I think the timing was just right …
