L.A. Arboretum Engagement Photos | Arcadia, CA Photographer | Hunter and James

Hunter and James first met each other during their freshman year at Azusa Pacific University in 2012. He was an R.A. in her dorm building and for an entire year, she kept her crush on him a secret, until a friend hinted at it during their sophomore year. And that’s when James finally asked her out on date to the L.A. Arboretum.

He packed a picnic for their first date and they spent the day together talking and walking for hours through the garden grounds. That date would lead to several more dates, with each shared moment spun with love. Hunter + James fell in love in no time for sweet and simple reasons — they make each other laugh daily even with the slightest look. And they both love and appreciate the simple things in life — like family, friendship, faith and their favorite t.v. shows 🙂 They compliment each other so perfectly.

THE LOCATION: THE L.A. ARBORETUM

It was only fitting for this beautiful couple to choose the L.A. Arboretum for their Engagement photos, after all, it’s where their love story truly began. Although it was not our first time there, the grounds are so enormous that each visit is like the first because there is constantly new flowers and trees in bloom. It’s the perfect place for a romantic date — just ask Hunter and James 🙂

Thank you Hunter + James for spending the afternoon with us and being so fun and easy to photograph just by being yourselves. We hope these engagement photos have helped keep a smile in your hearts whenever you’re apart. We cannot wait to see you both on the Wedding Day!!!

Here are some of our favorite photos from Hunter + James’ engagement session at the L.A. Arboretum in Arcadia …

Only this time, they had a special Arboretum resident drop by and photobomb their picture! I’m going to go out on a limb and say, when a peacock photobombs your picture, that’s a sign of good luck 🙂Romantic Engagement Photos at Los Angeles Arboretum
